Support Early Intervention and Inclusive Education
With the mission to empower physically challenged persons in pursuing independent livelihood, Amar Seva Sangam has been carrying out rehabilitation, education, training, skill development and employment of physically challenged through institution based and village based initiatives since 1981. Our activities are covered in over 900 villages in Tamil Nadu directly catering to over 16,000 persons with disabilities. As you are aware, all our services to the PwDs are totally free of cost.
This year, we are raising funds for the following two important programs:
- Early Intervention program for Children with Developmental Delays through our Enabling Inclusion App ®, which is a highly impactful, successful and cost effective initiative by which we have so far screened 2,45,000+ children and 9000+ CwDDs received effective services. Besides this, we have sensitized close to 20 lakh people, covering Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Titicorin and Virudhunagar districts.
- Inclusive Education through our Siva Saraswati Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School offers to 671 rural, poor, and physically challenged students. Established in 1981, the school has achieved a 100% pass rate in both the 10th and 12th annual exams conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
