Job Descriptions
Amar Seva Sangam works with children and adults with disabilities. Enabling Inclusion is the community-based Early Intervention and child rehab program where we give therapy services at the doorsteps of children with developmental delays and disabilities in rural and remote areas.
A team of professionals like physiotherapists, special educators, speech trainers, occupational therapists and speech therapists are working in this program.
The job responsibilities of the occupational therapist in this program are
- Assessment of children with disabilities on sensory processing difficulties and hand function with respect to occupational therapy perspective.
- Evaluation of children using weeFIM and other appropriate tools.
- Plan occupational therapy intervention for children with disabilities.
- Mentor CRWs and parents to give OT to the children.
- Conduct training for community rehab workers on various occupational therapy interventions.
- Documentation of assessment and periodic evaluation of children with disabilities.
This job requires traveling to children’s homes and community level EI centres.
