ANNUAL GET TOGETHER OF SCI- 2024

We are thrilled to share with you the success of the recently concluded Get-Together Programme for Spinal Cord Injured Persons, held from August 24th to 26th, 2024, at Amar Seva Sangam, Sulochana Gardens, Ayikudy.

Event Overview

The three-day event was a remarkable gathering aimed at empowering individuals with spinal cord injuries. The program featured an array of technical sessions, medical consultations, vocational activities, and cultural performances that brought together experts, doctors, and participants for an enriching experience.

Event Highlights

SCI Persons Awareness Rally: The event commenced with an awareness rally, graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. V.R. Srinivasan, Superintendent of Police, Tenkasi District.

Technical Sessions: Esteemed professionals, including Dr. Sumitha Gounden and Dr. Ram N. Narayanan, led sessions on topics such as skin care, rights awareness, spinal cord myths, and aging with spinal cord injuries.

Medical Camp: A comprehensive medical camp was organized, offering specialized consultations with renowned doctors from various fields.

Launching of Enabling Inclusion app for spinal cord injury patients: The EI app has been upgraded with evaluations, goals and interventions specific to people with spinal cord injury

Peer Group Support Sessions: Vocational activities and peer group discussions provided a platform for shared learning and support.

Cultural Programs: Participants showcased their talents, with spinal cord injured persons delivering inspiring performances.

We are proud to have hosted this impactful event, which was attended by more than 150  participants. Their enthusiasm and engagement made the program a resounding success.
