Job Descriptions
Amar Seva Sangam works with children and adults with disabilities. Enabling Inclusion is the community-based Early Intervention and child rehab program where we give therapy services at the doorsteps of children with developmental delays and disabilities in rural and remote areas.
A team of professionals like physiotherapists, special educators, speech trainers, occupational therapists and speech therapists are working in this program.
The job responsibilities of the occupational therapist in this program are
- Assessment of children with disabilities on sensory processing difficulties and hand function with respect to occupational therapy perspective.
- Evaluation of children using weeFIM and other appropriate tools.
- Plan occupational therapy intervention for children with disabilities.
- Mentor CRWs and parents to give OT to the children.
- Conduct training for community rehab workers on various occupational therapy interventions.
- Documentation of assessment and periodic evaluation of children with disabilities.
This job requires traveling to children’s homes and community level EI centres.
Wanted 1 no of Special Educator. Qualification: M.Ed in Special Education; Experience: Minimum 5 Years; Good communication skill is mandatory; Salary: Rs. 40,000/- (CTC) Selection based on Interview.

Job Description:
- Will act as the project lead for the Amar Seva Sangam’s CoE – Govt of Tamil Nadu’s
Education Dept’s Samagara Shiksha Inclusive Education Project Management Unit
(PMU) - Will be part of the PMU team that conceptualizes state-level activities that promote early childhood development and integrated education practices to encourage the development of children with disabilities and their enrollment and inclusion in school.
Roles and Responsibilities::
- Prepare a state-level annual activity plan for the Samagra Shiksha Program and the PMU team.
- Prepare Annual Training Plan and training module for Special educators,
physiotherapists, School teachers, and Parents of children with different disabilities. - Organize above mentioned training, monitor the training activities, and Report.
- Content preparation, organizing feedback sessions from SS staff, improving the content of rehabilitation and inclusive education component of CWSN in the EMIS App.
- Prepare themes and content for state-level observation on important days concerning disability.
- Prepare a plan for promoting school admission for children with disabilities and monitor the admission progress.
- Prepare theme and contents for School Management Committee meetings for CWSN.
- Any other work related to PMU of the Samagra Shiksha Program.
- Discuss the plans and everyday activities with the Head of implementation, innovation, and Capacity Building.
Reporting:
- Report to the Secretary of Amar Seva Sangam every week.
- Discuss and plan everyday activities and Report to the Head Implementation, Innovation, and Capacity Building.
- Report to Directors and management of Amar Seva Sangam’s Centre of Excellence on a periodical basis.
- Attend online meetings of Amar Seva Sangam’s Centre of Excellence Management.
