Flood Relief Support
We are all aware of the devastating natural disaster that has hit Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts, along with the adjacent districts of Kanyakumari and our own district of Tenkasi. The unprecedented rains and floods have severely impacted the lives of children with disabilities and their families, who are already facing several challenges. In this time of great stress and difficulty, we must do our best to help and alleviate the suffering of the affected families.
To this end, we have put together a kit that contains essential items such as groceries, bed sheet, towel, mosquito coils, candle, milk powder, napkins, diapers, water bottle, rusks, biscuits, Dettol, matchboxes, plastic grass mat, and rice, etc. These items will help families carry on with their daily lives and provide some comfort during this trying time.
The cost per kit is Rs.2544/-. We require about 1500 kits for distribution to the affected families. Total Rs.38,16,000/-.
