VOCATIONAL TRAINING SUPPORTED BY GURU KRUPA FOUNDATION

As we mark the completion of three triumphant years of collaboration with the Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF), it’s time we take a moment to reflect on the journey we’ve undertaken together towards empowering differently-abled individuals. This partnership has not only been a testament to the power of collective effort but also a beacon of hope for countless lives across India. From the outset, our mission has been clear – to help individuals with disabilities become self-sufficient and vital members of our society. The journey has been long and, at times, challenging. Yet, with the steadfast support of the Guru Krupa Foundation, based in New York, USA, we have turned dreams into tangible realities for many.

Over the past two years, and continuing consistently into the current year, GKF has been a pillar of strength for our endeavors. Their financial grants have given us the means to sustain and expand our programs. This support has not only been instrumental but also transformative for the lives of our students, offering them pathways to meaningful livelihoods. A flagship initiative under this partnership has been our Vocational Training Project. Designed with care and precision, this project aims to nurture employable skills in differently-abled individuals, focusing on areas like typewriting and computer operation. Our facilities, equipped with the necessary tools and technology, have been the ground for over 90% of our trainees finding employment or taking confident steps towards self-sufficiency. The vocational training is meticulously tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. Through an initial assessment of functional abilities, we ensure that our program benefits those who stand to gain the most from it. This commitment to excellence is reflected in our rigorous evaluation process, including monthly exams that help us track the progress of our students with precision.

The impact of our work, fuelled by the support from GKF, is best described through the achievements of our students: –

From Oct 2021 to Dec 2022: We witnessed 99 individuals completing the computer course and 85 completing the typing course, totalling 184 empowered lives.

From Jan 2023 to Dec 2023: The reach and effect of our programs expanded significantly, with 160 and 124 students completing the computer and typing courses, respectively, culminating in 284 success stories.

As we continue on this journey, we thank the Guru Krupa Foundation and all our supporters. Their faith and encouragement are the driving forces behind our resolve to make even greater strides in our collective endeavor to rehabilitate and empower differently abled individuals, helping them become independent and productive members of society.

Together, we are committed to transforming lives and nurturing a world where everyone—regardless of their abilities—has the opportunity to thrive.
